RF FIXING LTD CASE STUDY
We have been working with RF Fixing Ltd as their accountants since the inception of their business in 2003. Here is their story.
The Project
After several years of working in the construction industry, directors Tony and Paul decided to venture out and run their own new business. This meant they required advice on how best to structure it from a tax and compliance viewpoint.
The Result
After meeting with Tony and Paul to discuss the options available for setting up RF Fixing Ltd (partnership, sole traders or limited company), together we then decided that the corporate limited company structure was the best fit for their future business goals. This gave them the safety of limited liability and the most tax efficient structure, thus allowing them to increase the profitability of the business. Since its incorporation, RF Fixing Ltd has gone from strength to strength.
Having worked with RF Fixing Ltd for 15 years, we have ensured all compliance deadlines have been met. SHMS have also enabled them to structure their remuneration packages in the most tax efficient manner possible. On some rare occasions where HMRC systems have encountered an “error”, then we have sorted it for them quickly and efficiently at no extra cost to their business. RF Fixing Ltd have remained cash positive throughout every year of trading, and with our help they’ve never missed a payment to the many workers and suppliers they use.
Due to the growth and size of the company, we now meet once a quarter to discuss the business, make plans for the future, and throw in some lunch as well. Tony and Paul must still value our service as we also get an invite to the RF Fixing Ltd annual golf society day every year!
What they had to say
"From the outset we've always felt we can focus on running our business safe in the knowledge that the team at SHMS look after everything we need with our accounts."
